An official notification issued on Wednesday stated that the elections for the positions of mayor and deputy mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi are scheduled for April 26.
The notification specified that the general House meeting of the Delhi Municipal Corporation will convene at 11 am in the Aruna Asaf Ali Auditorium.
As per the notification, nominations for the roles of mayor and deputy mayor can be submitted until April 18 at the office of the Corporation Secretary during working hours from 11 am to 5 pm.
It was also mentioned in the notification that the position of Mayor of the Delhi Municipal Corporation is reserved for Scheduled Castes for the third consecutive year.
