Heavy rain drenched parts of the city on Sunday morning, resulting in waterlogging in certain areas,with the weather office forecasting more rainfall during the next few hours.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported 2.9 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, with the maximum expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD.
Delhi Traffic Police reported disruptions on Rohtak Road and Najafgarh Phirni Road. They advised motorists to avoid the Rohtak Road stretch from Nangloi to Tikri Border due to potholes and waterlogging, suggesting alternate routes through Mundka.
Traffic on Najafgarh Phirni Road was also impacted by waterlogging and the breakdown of three cluster buses near Chhawla Stand.
Humidity levels stood at 92 percent at 8:30 am, while the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was reported as satisfactory with a reading of 74 at 9 am by the Central Pollution Control Board.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor, and 401 to 500 severe. (With inputs from PTI)
