Delhi woke up to a partly cloudy sky on Wednesday, with the weather office forecasting light rain along with thunder and lightning in a few isolated places.
The minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung, two notches below normal. Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 25.5 degrees Celsius, 2.5 notches below normal, while Lodhi Road recorded 25.6 degrees Celsius, 2.4 notches below normal.
The Ridge station recorded 23.8 degrees Celsius, 4.7 notches below normal, and Ayanagar logged 25.7 degrees Celsius, 2.2 notches below normal.
Rainfall was recorded across Delhi stations between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on Tuesday. Safdarjung recorded 8.4 mm rainfall, Lodhi Road 4.6 mm, Ridge 3.5 mm, Ayanagar 2.6 mm and Palam 1.4 mm.
According to the IMD, the city is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of development of thunderstorms and lightning in a few isolated patches during the day.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the moderate category with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 142 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
