The national capital on Saturday recorded a minimum temperature of 21.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season’s average, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Humidity was at 64 percent at 8:30 am.
The forecast predicts thunderstorms and rain during the day, with temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) for Delhi stood at 181, falling in the “moderate” category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
Friday marked the warmest day of the year in Delhi, with a maximum temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees above average.
Earlier, on March 27, Delhi recorded a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, the second-highest this season. (With inputs from PTI)
