Police stated that Suraj (25), Sonu (19) and Chand Khan (25) also attacked the victim with a sharp-edged object.
According to police, the accused were involved in several cases of snatching, robbery and theft.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Usha Rangnani said that a PCR call was received at the Subhash Place police station regarding the robbery on 29 July.
A police team went to the spot and escorted the injured to hospital for treatment, Rangnani stated.
The victim in his statement told police that he was on his way to deliver food when he was halted at Britannia Chowk traffic signal and thrashed from behind due to which he fell down.
The complainant alleged that two people tried to snatch his mobile phone and when he opposed, they attacked him with a sharp-edged object. Afterwards, the men ran away with his scooter.
After analyzing CCTV footage and basic inputs provided by the victim, police deployed sources to gather local intelligence. Accordingly, raids were organized at various locations, and the team was successful in catching Suraj, Rangnani said
She added that during the interrogation, Suraj gave his confession of his involvement in the robbery and disclosed that he and his partners were addicted to drugs and alcohol and committed crimes for easy money.
