A 16-year-old boy suffered critical injuries after three individuals stabbed him during a confrontation sparked by social media tensions in northwest Delhi’s Mahendra Park area, authorities said.
The incident unfolded on Wednesday night while the victim was outside his residence. Without warning, the assailants approached and assaulted him with a sharp-edged weapon, according to police.
He was rushed to the hospital, where his condition remains critical, police confirmed.
Investigators revealed that the accused had engaged in a heated exchange with the victim on a social media platform prior to the attack. However, the precise motive behind the assault is under investigation.
“While initial indications point to a social media dispute as the trigger, our teams are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects,” a police spokesperson said. (With inputs from PTI)
