Delhi: The body of a 30-year-old woman with her throat slit was found in a house in Outer Delhi’s Ranhola area in the early hours of Thursday, police said.
The woman, identified as Rani, was staying at the rented accommodation with an elderly woman and a man, they said.
The elderly woman is being interrogated as she was present at the house when Rani was allegedly killed, while the man identified as Ashok Kumar has gone missing, a police officer said.

The officer said it is yet to be verified if the elderly woman is a relative of the deceased.
Police said they are trying to ascertain if the deceased was married to the man who has gone missing.
Police said they received a call around 5:30 am, adding that a team rushed to the house and found the body lying on the floor.

The house owner’s son, who live in the same building, saw the body and informed police.
The elderly woman has told police that she was asleep and had not heard any commotion.
The house owner has told police that Rani took the house on rent six months ago. The deceased had told the house owner that the elderly woman was her foster mother and the man was her husband.

The officer said they are trying to get in touch with the deceased’s relatives.
Police are going through CCTV footage to zero in on the suspect, he said.
