In a tragic event in North Delhi’s Malkaganj, a 12-year-old girl named Komal was killed after being hit by a Delhi Transport Corporation bus while she was on her way home from school.
The accident took place around 12:30 pm when Komal attempted to cross the road at Malkaganj Chowk.
Despite immediate medical response, she was pronounced dead at Bara Hindu Rao Hospital due to severe head injuries.
Following the incident, local residents numbering about 50 to 60 gathered, expressing their anger by vandalizing the bus, including smashing its windows and destroying its CCTV cameras.

The crowd’s frustration also targeted the bus driver, Sher Singh, a 40-year-old man who was subsequently arrested.
The police quickly moved to control the situation, dispersing the protesters and taking the driver into custody.
The incident has reignited discussions on road safety and the responsibilities of public transport drivers in densely populated areas like Delhi.
In a separate but similarly distressing incident on September 20, in Delhi near Mother Dairy on Pusta Road, a Maruti Nexa XL6 crashed into two pedestrians, leading to severe injuries. The accident prompted an immediate response from the Gandhi Nagar Police Station following a PCR call.
The victims, identified as Sonu (40) from Lucknow and Islam (38) from Sundar Nagri, Delhi, were rushed to SDN Hospital for emergency care. The driver responsible for the crash, Rahul Kumar (38), was quickly detained at the scene by Sub-Inspector Vinod from the Gandhi Nagar Police Station.

The car was found perched on a road divider, indicating the severity of the collision. This incident adds to the growing concerns over road safety in Delhi, highlighting the need for vigilance and enforcement of traffic regulations.
