The Delhi Jal Board announced that water supply in parts of south Delhi will be halted for 12 hours on September 18 due to maintenance work.
The areas impacted include Green Park, Safdarjung Enclave, SDA, Hauz Khas, Munirka, Kishangarh, Masjid Mod, parts of Mehrauli, IIT, INU, AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, and nearby regions of Deer Park.
The halt in water supply is necessary for the installation of a 500 mm diameter flowmeter at the Deer Park BPS outlet, which supplies water to DDA flats in Munirka.
As a result, the 600 mm outlet line of Deer Park BPS will be offline from 10 am to 10 pm on September 18. Consequently, there will also be a disruption in the water supply on the morning of September 19.

The DJB has urged residents to conserve water and apologised for the inconvenience caused. Water tankers will be available upon request through the DJB helpline or the central control room. (With inputs from PTI)
