Artist Phaneendra Nath Chaturvedi’s solo exhibition Metamorphosis, curated by Sanya Malik, will open on May 3, at 6 PM at the CCA Building, Bikaner House. The show will be on view from May 4 to 8, daily between 11 AM and 7 PM, across both floors of the venue.
The exhibition presents a selection of works created by Chaturvedi over the past twenty years, including drawings, paintings and sculptural pieces. The works reflect the artist’s ongoing engagement with themes of transformation, identity, and human-environment relationships.
Early works in the exhibition feature figural compositions rendered in pen and ink, while later pieces move towards abstraction, incorporating surreal imagery and architectural elements. The exhibition includes a range of materials and forms, including stainless steel sculptures and works on paper and canvas.
The artist uses recurring visual motifs such as wings, insects, and plant forms, often placed in tension with mechanical or constructed environments. The exhibition is organised to show the progression of Chaturvedi’s work over time, with each section exploring shifts in form, style and subject matter.

A satellite edition of Metamorphosis will be held at Black Cube Gallery, New Delhi, and will remain on view until May 30.
