The Visual Arts Gallery at India Habitat Centre is set to host ‘Panchtatva – The Elemental Mosaic,’ a solo art exhibition by acclaimed artist Rita Jhunjhunwala from February 15 to 19, 2025.

This art exhibition is an artistic tribute to the five fundamental elements of nature—Prithvi (Earth), Jal (Water), Agni (Fire), Vayu (Air), and Akash (Space/Ether). Through her mixed-media, semi-abstract works, Jhunjhunwala explores the profound connection between these elemental forces, the human body, and the cosmos.

Using textures on canvas, paper, and wood, the exhibition delves into themes of time, resilience, and cosmic harmony, reflecting on ‘Prana’ (vital force) and its relationship with the natural world. Jhunjhunwala’s signature style, characterised by rich textures and evocative compositions, offers a sensory and philosophical experience that transcends artistic boundaries.

Rita Jhunjhunwala is a celebrated artist with a career spanning over 25 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows across India and abroad. Her contributions to the art world have earned her prestigious honors, including the Soviet Land Nehru Award, Grand Prix International, Rome, and Grand Prix International, France.
