The Aryan Heritage Foundation is set to present its Broadway Ramlila, a production known for its grand scale and devotion to the epic tale of Ramayana. The event will run from October 6 to 11, 2024, starting at 7:00 PM, at Netaji Subhash Place, New Delhi.
The three-hour production showcases key moments from Lord Ram’s life, from his divine birth to his battles and profound wisdom. The show combines cutting-edge 3D stage design with a musical score of 18 original tracks, featuring renowned artists such as Udit Narayan, Kailash Kher, and Kumar Vishu. Music directors Chandra Kamal and Bharat Kamal lead the musical direction, with narration provided by veteran actor Mukesh Khanna. A cast of over 100 actors and dancers brings the tale to life in a sensory spectacle.
Rajender Mittal, the creator of Broadway Ramlila, has continually pushed the boundaries of the production, revamping graphic and set designs, redesigning costumes, and experimenting with new talent. This year, the audience will enjoy enhanced facilities, including luxury lounges, air-conditioned theatre-like boxes, and a branded food court, making the viewing experience even more memorable.

Rajender Mittal highlights that the Broadway Ramlila has set a new standard for Ramlila productions in Delhi. “Every Ramlila Committee is now adopting the three-hour Ramayana concept and naming it Sampurn Ramayana,” he said. To distinguish itself, the production, previously known as Sampurn Ramayana, was renamed Broadway Ramlila.
Chairman Ishwar Bansal describes the show as “a groundbreaking production that has redefined how we experience Ramlila in India”. General Secretary Anil Garg emphasised the foundation’s commitment to securing all necessary permissions in advance to ensure a smooth production. Treasurer Ajay Gupta noted the support of donors and effective resource management has made this grand chapter possible.
Saurabh Mittal, Senior Vice President, envisions Broadway Ramlila as a travelling show, and said that “the life story of Shri Ram should be accessible to everyone across India”. He compared the production’s grandeur to Broadway shows in New York, blending tradition with innovation.
Since its inception in 2015, Broadway Ramlila has made headlines as the first Ramlila to be shown in cinemas. The Delhi Government, recognising its cultural significance, showcased a portion of the production, pledging to share this cultural treasure with the city’s residents.
