Alliance Française de Delhi, One Teacher One Scientist, and RISE (Re-Imagining School Education) are jointly organising a two-day festival on Global Citizenship and Artificial Intelligence in Education.
The RISE festival is an annual event focused on aligning school education with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to foster a platform for discussion, innovation, and creativity in education.
This year’s second edition is curated by author and educationist Vaishali Gupta. The festival will explore the roles of Artificial Intelligence and Global Citizenship in education.

Key highlights of the event include panel discussions featuring senior educators and experts who will address themes around AI, SDGs, and education, emphasising inclusivity and innovation in schools.
Attendees can participate in experiential workshops for children, covering activities such as photography walks, storytelling, hands-on robotics, drone workshops, AR and VR exhibitions, coding, 3D printing, cyber safety, and anti-plagiarism initiatives. These activities are designed to promote holistic development and critical thinking.
Teacher workshops will focus on practical applications of AI in global education, 21st-century pedagogies, and classroom implementation. Additional workshops will cover topics like nutrition, wellness, safety, gender equality, and inclusivity, aimed at raising awareness and fostering Global Citizenship among young adults.
Discussions will also address AI’s impact on education, cyber security, AR/VR technologies, inclusivity, and gender sensitivity both in and outside the classroom.

Prominent speakers and partners include cyber security expert Rakshit Tandon, along with representatives from Amway, Airbus, INTACH, IIT Delhi, and Microsoft. The festival will be inaugurated by the UN Resident Coordinator in India, Shombi Sharp, and Thierry Mathou, the French Ambassador to India, in the presence of various dignitaries.
Additional activities will include an inter-school treasure hunt focused on the SDGs, a Model United Nations (MUN) organized by AF Delhi students, an ‘NGO’s Got Talent’ showcase, poster-making competitions for children, and film screenings.
Visitors can participate in multiple simultaneous events, choosing and registering for activities based on their interests. RISE 2024 is designed to unite stakeholders in a child’s development, fostering collaborative dialogue and innovation.
An evening concert featuring the winner of AFD’s Got Talent will take place on November 8.
