The Dhoomimal Art Centre is set to host Eternal Rhythms, a solo exhibition by emerging artist Pankaj Kumar Singh, at Shridharani Art Gallery, from December 2 to 11. The exhibition will continue at Dhoomimal Art Centre, Connaught Place, from December 12 to 25.
This exhibition takes viewers on a journey through the cycles of nature, exploring themes of creation, transformation, and renewal. Singh’s work is characterised by bold grids, rhythmic geometric patterns, and textured layers crafted from materials like charcoal dust, rice paper, and cloth fragments. His canvases evoke the Vedic concept of Brahmand—the primal state of the universe—offering a meditative exploration of nature’s interplay between energy, form, and motion.
“Nature is always in motion,” said Singh. “Even though it repeats itself, no two moments are ever truly the same. That continuous change is what I try to bring to my work. Painting allows me to connect with that energy and express it—it’s how I understand the world’s constant evolution.”

Born in rural India, Singh’s early encounters with nature deeply influenced his artistic vision. After graduating in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University, he has exhibited widely across India. His unique style, blending abstraction and philosophy, draws viewers into the timeless rhythms of nature.
Mohit Jain, the owner of Dhoomimal Art Centre, reflected on his association with the artist. “My first meeting with Pankaj was brief, and I initially rejected his work, which seemed influenced by another artist. However, in 2009, he returned with a distinct body of work—unique, powerful, and a true expression of his vision. Some even called it museum quality. His first solo exhibition in 2014 was a sell-out. Curating his second solo exhibition has been equally exciting.”
The exhibition promises to offer art enthusiasts a profound meditation on nature’s ceaseless evolution and the beauty of renewal. Eternal Rhythms is open to the public and showcases Singh’s ability to translate the natural world’s dynamic energy into his art.
