Music in the moonlight

What: Soak in in enchanting Sufi music this weekend. Teamwork Arts presents the finale of the three-part monthly concert, ‘Under the Banyan Tree on a Full Moon Night’ which will showcase traditional classical and folk music. The artist will be performing under the banyan tree with the minarets of the Qutub Minar in the background. The audience will enjoy the performance in a baithak style under the moonlight and will get the opportunity to engage with the musicians as well. The concert will feature Sufi folk music by Harpreet, folk qawwali by Mir Mukhtiyar Ali and a special conversation presented by Jagran Film Festival.

Short and sweet
What: To celebrate short films, Whatashort Independent International Film Festival is back with its fourth edition. The organisers hold that every script has a message to convey, every camera has a story to capture and every short film has a story to captivate. The festival will screen several short films selected out of the various entries received from around the world. The festival seeks to promote short films and the some of the best will be awarded with certificates.
When: July 13-15 (11 am–6 pm)

Chug Fest
What: What’s better than a chilled beer to beat the scorching heat of the summer? Chug and Chill: The Ultimate Beer Festival brings to you lip-smacking bites, amazing music and of course lots of beer. Have your pick from the wide variety of options that includes beer of White Rhino, pizzas from Breaking Bad, hot momos or Darjeeling Steamers, to name a few. Adding to the fun, there will also be Beerlympics which features games like beer pong, flip the cup, chugging contest and more.
When: June 23- 24 (3 pm)

Flash courses
What: For all the people who want to learn something new but are short of time, here’s what you have been looking for. A meet up titled ‘Learn anything in one hour’ will offer the participants a chance to learn any skill within one hour. Each participant will have to share one skill that they possess which will be then voted upon by them. The skill with the highest votes will be taught in one hour of this meet up by the participant who volunteered to teach it. From some new language, dance moves to even coding — anything can be taught at the meetup. Join them if you are looking for a quick way to add to your list of skills.

Paint a poet

What: Here is an interesting event to explore the artist in yourself. The event Rangani Khwabeda invites all photographers to capture the images of poets that will be performing for the programme. It also invites painters to listen to the poets and the create whatever comes to their mind.

Street shots
What: Experience the madness and rush of the streets with a street photography workshop in Old Delhi. Capture live moments of people and chaos of life in the old lanes and busy bazaars of Chandni Chowk. Experts will guide you and create an environment for you to get the perfect shot.
