Summer camp
What: The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) presents Craftopia 4 – an online artsy summer camp for Kids. Keeping in mind health and safety concerns, KNMA will be holding its popular art camp online this summer. This year the camp will focus on the history of art movements mixing interesting historical tidbits, with DIYs and crafts to go along. The session will delve into Renaissance Art, Impressionist Art, Contemporary Art and much more. Each episode will feature an art project inspired by an artist from that particular movement, it will use elements of the style discussed and guide children to create homemade interpretations. The summer camp will allow kids to discover fascinating and fun facts about the various art movements, schools of thought, and artists themselves. This will be a continuous 10-day online summer camp with the opportunity to indulge in a vast array of art styles and develop a basic understanding of art history

Looking back
What: A four-part BBC series, written and presented by Michael Wood, titled “In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great (1998)” is being screened on the website of IIC. Wood retraces Alexander the Great’s amazing journey from Greece to India, searching for the truth behind the legend and experiencing the tremendous scale of his achievements. Using ancient historians as his guides, Wood follows Alexander’s journey as closely as possible, crossing deserts and rivers, from Turkey to war-torn Afghanistan. As the journey progresses, he recreates the drama of Alexander’s epic marches and bloody battles. All along the way he finds proof of the survival of the legends surrounding Alexander, a leader whose life has excited the world’s imagination for 2,000 years.

Building legacy
What: IHC Continuum – a series showcasing the work of some torch bearers of our Performing Arts, features a contemporary piece titled ‘Home Stories’ by Revanta Sarabhai for this week’s edition. The series aims to show the next generation carrying forward the legacy with their passion and talent. Revanta is an actor, dancer and choreographer and forms the third generation of artistes from the legendary Sarabhai family after his grandmother Mrinalini Sarabhai and mother Mallika Sarabhai.
