A Navratri exhibition showcasing art and sculpture inspired by the divine

Ehsaas will present God’s Transcending — a Navratri group exhibition curated by Manisha Gawade and Durga Kainthola — at Arpana Fine Art Gallery, Siri Fort Institutional Area, from September 23 to 28.

The show will feature 38 works by senior artists including Prof Niren Sengupta, Samik De, Sarla Chandra, Priyendra Shukla, Vimmi Indra, Manisha Gawade, Durga Kainthola and sculptor Gagan Vij. The exhibition will be inaugurated on September 23 at 6:30 pm by Dr Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary of IGNCA, and Abhay Kumar, Deputy Director General of ICCR.

The display spans acrylics and oils on canvas, alongside sculptures in copper, steel with aluminium, and clay. Highlights include Vij’s Mayura, depicting a dancing figure finished in a striking blue patina, and special Gayas Idols crafted from organic clay sourced from Vrindavan and the Bay of Bengal basin.

As part of the opening, Odissi exponent Guru Ranjana Gauhar (Padma Shri, SNA Awardee) will present a video performance of Supreme Shakti and Devi Shodishinaam (Jai Ma), invoking Ma Durga and the Mother Goddess in her sixteen names.
