The Jahan-e-Khusrau World Sufi Music Festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary from February 28 to March 2, at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi. Curated by Muzaffar Ali, the festival has been a major platform for Sufi music and poetry, featuring artists from around the world.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings, praising Ali for promoting India’s cultural and spiritual traditions. He expressed hope that the festival would continue to spread harmony and create lasting memories.
Since its inception in 2000, the festival has showcased the works of Sufi saints like Rumi, Amir Khusrau, and Baba Bulleh Shah. It has provided a stage for both new and renowned artists, including Abida Parveen, Shubha Mudgal, Gurdas Maan, and Kailash Kher. This year’s event will continue its tradition of blending diverse musical styles and cultures, with performances by Mooralala Marwada, Sanjukta Sinha, Jasu Khan Manganiyar, and Yawar Abdal, among others.
Alongside the musical performances, the festival will feature a cultural bazaar, poetry readings, book launches, and a Sufi-inspired food experience. Organized under the Rumi Foundation, the event is supported by Delhi Tourism, ONGC, IOC, and other partners.
