Seven teams from leading culinary institutions across India will showcase their exquisite baking skills at the Junior Pastry Indian Cup 2023 competition on August 2-3.
Institutions such as JW Marriott, Bangalore; WhiteCaps International School of Pastry, Bangalore; Le Cordon Bleu GD Goenka University, Gurugram; École Ducasse ISH, Gurugram; Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts, Mumbai; International Institute of Culinary Arts, New Delhi; and RIG Institute Of Hospitality & Management, Greater Noida will send their teams.
At the competition, teams will have to create ‘sugar showpiece’, ‘chocolate showpiece’, ‘the Valrhona Chocolate Cake’, ‘Dessert on a Plate’, ‘Dessert in a Glass’ and ‘Mini Pastries’.
All teams participating in the Junior Pastry Indian Cup 2023 will be required to use US Cranberries as the hero ingredient in at least one of their recipes. Participant teams will be judged on Artistic expression and technical skill, Professional ethics and hygiene and taste. There are strict guidelines and parameters on which the chefs will be judged at every stage.

The Pastry Event will be Mentored & Supervised by Jury Committee, which will include Chef Eureka Araujo, Chef Mukesh Singh Rawat, Chef Balendra Singh and Chef Dane Fernandes.
The competition is open to Indian male or female pastry chefs aged less than 23 years as of January 20, 2024. Participants must be born on or after January 20, 2001.
