The 22nd edition of the Lalit Arpan Festival, which was established in 2002 through the collaborative efforts of Kathak virtuoso Shovana Narayan and the late Ustad Shafaat Ahmed Khan, is set to commence on October 4, 2023.
This event will take place at the Stein Auditorium, located within the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
Noteworthy performers scheduled for the festival include Pallavi Lohani (Kathak), Suhail Bhan (Bharatanatyam), Megha Nair (Mohiniyattam), and Vishwanath Mangaraj (Odissi), said the organisers.
According to organisers, the central theme for the Lalit Arpan Festival 2023 is “DVIPARNA,” which explores the harmonious interplay of the dual principles of life, encompassing aspects such as male-female, yin-yang, positive-negative, virility-grace.
