Aayam will present Prem Ki Anant Nritya Yatra, a Bharatanatyam solo recital by Tanusha Tyagi, at the LTG Auditorium on March 28.
A disciple of Guru Sindhu Mishra, Tyagi’s performance is conceived and choreographed by her guru, drawing inspiration from the cosmic union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The recital explores multiple dimensions of love — from devotional bhakti and the seeker’s spiritual longing to the tender purity of maternal affection.
Structured in the traditional margam format, the evening will begin with an invocation to Lord Ganapati and Lord Shiva. This will be followed by a Pada Varnam that blends intricate footwork with expressive storytelling, depicting Parvati’s unwavering devotion. A Padam will present a nuanced episode from the wedding celebrations of Shiva and Parvati, while the recital will conclude with a vibrant Thillana marked by rhythmic precision and energetic movement.
The performance will feature a live orchestra, including G Elangovan on Carnatic vocals and flute,Nitin Sharma on Hindustani vocals, Sachin Sharma on tabla, and Dr Ramamurthy Kesavan on mridangam. Nattuvangam will be conducted by Guru Sindhu Mishra.
According to organisers, the recital aims to blend tradition with emotive storytelling, offering audiences an immersive experience into the expressive language of Bharatanatyam.
