The Rotary Club of Delhi Manthan, in collaboration with Nexus Select Citywalk and Fitness First, is set to host the “Recycle Life” Cycle Rally to promote awareness about organ donation. Supported by the Rotary Club of Delhi Shine, the Rotary Club of Delhi South, and ACE Insurance Brokers, the event will bring together over 300 cyclists for a 16-km ride through the city.
The rally will begin and end at Nexus Select Citywalk, Saket, passing by key medical institutions such as Moolchand Hospital, AIIMS, and Safdarjung Hospital. An awareness break will be held at AIIMS to highlight the importance of organ donation.
The event will kick off at 6:30 AM with a registration process, followed by an energetic Zumba and stretching session by Fitness First. The official flag-off will take place at 6:45 AM, led by Dr Mahesh Trikha, District Governor (Dist. 3011).
With thousands of patients in India awaiting organ transplants, the gap between organ demand and availability remains a pressing issue. Myths and misinformation continue to prevent many from registering as donors. A single donor can save multiple lives by donating vital organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, and lungs. The rally aims to spread awareness and encourage more people to register as organ donors.
Participants will receive a T-shirt, Finisher’s Medal, and a Breakfast Box as a token of appreciation.
