Aayam will present Sandeh–Nihsandeh, a solo Bharatanatyam production by dancer Isha Aggarwal, on April 27, at 6:00 PM at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House. The production has been conceptualised under the guidance of Bharatanatyam exponent Guru Sindhu Mishra.

Drawing on episodes from the Ramcharitmanas, the performance explores the themes of doubt, conviction, and inner transformation. Through the classical vocabulary of Bharatanatyam, the performance reflects on the emotional and spiritual dilemmas faced by characters in the epic, framing these experiences as relevant to contemporary questions of faith and self-discovery.

The production is accompanied by a classical score that blends Carnatic and Hindustani elements, brought together by a team of musicians from varied traditions. The choreography by Guru Sindhu Mishra combines narrative clarity with expressive movement, aiming to offer audiences an interpretative engagement with the text.

“This work is an attempt to examine how belief and uncertainty shape individual and shared experiences,” said Guru Mishra. “It’s a reflection that unfolds through dance and music.”
