Water scarcity, drainage key concerns: BJP’s Chandni Chowk nominee

Praveen Khandelwal says he will initiate community policing to improve law and order in the constituency

CANDIDATE: Praveen Khandelwal

Praveen Khandelwal, BJP’s candidate from Chandni Chowk, has said that he will focus on addressing problems related to water, drainage and crime if he is elected from the constituency. He also criticised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore liquor scam in the national capital.

In an interview with Patriot, Khandelwal underlined several problems faced by residents of the Chandni Chowk constituency such as crime, water scarcity, sanitation and other civic amenities. He also revealed his vision for the constituency.

When asked about the major issues of people residing in the area, Khandelwal said, “Water scarcity and drainage are the key problems. The Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has neglected this locality for the past 10 years. After winning the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, we are committed to redeveloping this area comprehensively, addressing all the problems. The BJP will work as a cohesive unit to resolve the problems affecting residents of this constituency.”

Khandelwal said he will enhance community policing efforts to reduce crime.

“We will instruct the agencies concerned to strictly enforce and maintain law and order in the locality. Additionally, we will form a collaborative group consisting of the Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) and the Delhi Police to tackle crime situation effectively,” he said.

The 64-year-old said that the people of the nation are now witnessing the true face of CM Kejriwal through the multi-crore scams linked to him.

“For the first time in history, a CM has been put behind bars, and the court has granted him interim bail on the condition that he cannot function officially as the CM. This decision by the Apex court underscores the relevance of the allegations against Kejriwal. The people of Delhi have now decided to vote for BJP, aiming to secure victory for all seven candidates in the upcoming elections,” Khandelwal asserted.

“The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Kejriwal will not receive any sympathy votes, as the public is aware of their corruption. Instead, people will vote for development and for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming polls,” he said.

Khandelwal further urged the people to step out of their homes on May 25 and vote for the person who tirelessly works for the country, that is, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the upcoming elections symbolise unity, supremacy, and communal harmony.

The national capital is all set to vote on May 25. The Chandni Chowk constituency will witness a fierce battle between Khandelwal and Congress candidate and veteran JP Aggarwal.
