Gurugram: Tucked inside the serene spa lobby of The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences, Aujasya Cafe is a thoughtfully designed wellness destination that brings together the principles of mindful eating and holistic living. With a menu inspired by ancient wisdom and modern nutritional science, this café redefines the dining experience for health-conscious guests.

Aujasya—meaning ‘vitality’ in Sanskrit—offers light, nutrient-rich meals that serve as the perfect follow-up to a spa, swim, or salon session. More than just a café, it invites diners to extend their wellness journey through carefully crafted dishes that heal and energise from within.

Balanced meals, rooted in intention

The menu at Aujasya Cafe reflects a commitment to nutrition without compromising flavour. Featuring organic ingredients and clear nutritional labelling, each dish is designed to deliver a balanced mix of proteins, vitamins, and essential nutrients.

The Superfoods section sets the tone, with options like the Mushroom and Thyme Soup—a 145-calorie blend of cremini mushrooms and a delicate chèvre cheese tart. The Thar Quinoa Salad, layered with slow-roasted ash gourd and baby spinach, is a protein-packed delight that offers a refreshing start.

For something heartier, the Himalayan Earth Bowl combines bean tofu, organic beets, and red rice kedgeree in a vibrant, health-forward preparation. Dessert lovers can indulge without guilt in the Bitter Chocolate Orange Pave—a smooth whipped ganache that clocks in at just 192 calories.

Elixirs and infusions

The drinks menu at Aujasya Cafe is just as purposeful. Cold-pressed juices and smoothies sit alongside traditional wellness drinks, each designed to hydrate and heal.

Standout options include the ABCG Press (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot, and Ginger), with only 69 calories, and the De-Toxify Me Blend, a light 28-calorie infusion. For a more filling option, the Green Apple Smoothie and Blueberry & Chia Seed Smoothie pack antioxidants and energy in every sip. Ayurvedic favourites like Turmeric Ashwagandha and Paradise of Kashmir add cultural depth, while Hardoor Estate Coorg Coffees offer a rich finishing touch.

Designed with care

Transparency is at the heart of Aujasya Cafe. Each item on the menu includes detailed nutritional breakdowns— protein, calories, fats, carbs, fibre, and vitamins—empowering guests to make informed dietary choices.

Executive Chef Abhishek Gupta shares that the concept was developed in close consultation with a nutritionist. “This café was planned with the goal of serving smart and healthy food,” he says.

Ingredients are sourced with intention— Himalayan pink salt, artisan cheese from local farms, cold-pressed olive oil, and mountain-grown organic mushrooms. These not only enhance taste but also preserve nutritional value.

A sustainable sanctuary

The ambiance at Aujasya Cafe mirrors its wellness philosophy. Lush greenery, gentle lighting, and the soothing sound of water create an oasis of calm within the bustling hotel.

“It is not just a café, it’s an experience,” says Chef Abhishek. “A place where one can embrace silence, the sound of running water, and the essence of sustainable living.”

In alignment with this ethos, The Leela has taken steps toward sustainability by commissioning an organic farm and launching a hydroponic greenhouse. This ensures the café receives the freshest herbs and vegetables straight from their own soil.

With its serene setting and nutritionally balanced menu, the café invites guests to slow down, savour each bite, and embrace wellness as a way of life.

Patriot was invited for a visit to the Aujasya Cafe. However, this is not a paid piece.
