The national capital on Saturday experienced a minimum temperature of 21.4 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees above the average for this season, according to officials.
At 8 am, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was measured at 260, indicating ‘poor’ air quality.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted a mostly clear sky, which might turn partly cloudy in the afternoon or evening. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels at 8:30 am were recorded at 83 percent.
To provide context, it’s important to note that an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 is ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 is ‘poor’, 301 to 400 is ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 is classified as ‘severe’. (With inputs from PTI)
