Lokayat Art Gallery is set to unveil a group exhibition titled Threads of Heritage at the Bulgarian Embassy in Chanakyapuri, starting on November 6. The exhibition, showcasing the works of 27 seasoned artists, will be inaugurated by Sangwoo Lim, DCM (Minister) of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, at 6:00 PM.
This collection will feature four paintings each by artists including Katrina Jughwa Kim, Amit Srivastava, Ranjit Sarkar, Ananda Gupta, AK Azad, Kamal Devnatha, Kamal Kishore, Sanjeev Sashwati, Anil Kohli, Asif Azam, Archanaa Panda, Bhavna Pandey, Chitra Singh, Jhunu Sarkar, Pankaj Nigam, Seema Parveen, Minisha Bhardwaj, Smita Jain, Sayeeda Ali, Sapna Gupta, Monica Wadhwa, Madhusudan Khandekar, Sharmila Sharma, Moonmoon Bhagchandka, Ratneshwar Roy, Sanjeev Mandal, and Chandana Bhattacharjee. Notably, Korean artist Katrina Jughwa Kim, residing in India, has depicted Indian culture, traditions, and rural life, contributing to the exhibition’s focus on Indian heritage.
Curator Qazi M. Raghib highlighted the significance of this exhibition, stating, “This is the first time that an exhibition of Indian artists is being held at the Bulgarian Embassy. The main concept of the exhibition is that all the artists have depicted the Indian ambient in their works”. He emphasised that “all the artists have 15 to 25 years of experience in their field,” underscoring the depth of artistic talent on display.

Threads of Heritage will be open to visitors by invitation, with entry based on a valid ID card. The exhibition will run daily until November 13, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a glimpse into India’s cultural tapestry through diverse artistic expressions.
