Hilton Garden Inn is bringing a taste of Uttarakhand to the capital with its food festival, Kauthig – A Fair of Flavours from Garhwal & Kumaon. The festival, which opens on November 29, and runs until December 8, offers a culinary journey through the rich traditions of the Himalayan region. Held at India Grill in Hilton Garden Inn, Saket, the festival will take place daily from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Curated by Chef Prateek Agrawal, the event showcases the authentic flavours of Garhwal and Kumaon. The menu, featuring both à la carte options and chef’s specials, offers an array of traditional dishes that highlight the region’s diverse culinary heritage. Guests can start their meal with Buransh Ka Sharbat, a refreshing welcome drink, followed by starters such as Aloo Pindaloo Ki Tikki, Dal Ki Pakori, Narangi Bhuna Kukkad, and Dadim Maccha.

The main course features dishes like Bhatt Ki Churkani, Aloo Mooli Thechwani, Khichdi with Pahadi Ghee and Curd, Chimi Ki Sabzi, Pahadi Bhuna Mutton, and Masala Tari Kukkad, along with sides such as Himalayan Red Rice and Mandue Ki Roti. To round off the meal, diners can enjoy traditional desserts like Jhangora Ki Kheer, Arse, Gulgule, and Bal Mithai, paired with accompaniments like Bhang Ki Chutney and Pahadi Pissi Loon.
This celebration of Uttarakhand’s culinary heritage offers an immersive experience, bringing together the mountain region’s unique flavours and cultural traditions.
