Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava on Thursday launched its latest budget smartphone, the Lava Shark 2 4G, priced at Rs 6,999. The handset is powered by the UNISOC T7250 processor and features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering an improved visual experience over its predecessor.
The Lava Shark 2 4G comes in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, and will be available later this month at select retail outlets. The device will be offered in Eclipse Grey and Aurora Gold colour options.
For optics, the smartphone features a 50MP rear camera with AI enhancements to deliver better photos in varied lighting conditions. On the front, it has an 8MP camera housed within a notch design for selfies and video calls.
The handset is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging through a USB Type-C port. However, the company is providing a 10W charger in the box. It also carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and supports Dual 4G SIM connectivity.

Running on Android 15, the device will receive one OS upgrade and two years of security updates, Lava said. Other notable features include auto call recording and standard connectivity options suited for everyday use.
