An exhibition featuring sculptural works by Himmat Shah, Krishen Khanna and Thota Vaikuntam at the India International Centre

Namtech Fine Arts will present ‘Three Moderns’, a sculptural exhibition featuring works by Himmat Shah, Krishen Khanna and Thota Vaikuntam, from December 11 to 22 at the Gandhi King Plaza, India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. Curated by Uma Nair and organised by the India International Centre, the exhibition will be open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM.

The exhibition brings together 12 sculptures by the three artists, offering a view of their respective approaches to form, material and figuration. Presented in the open-air setting of the Plaza, the works engage with themes connected to human presence, gesture and everyday experience.

Marking his centenary year, Krishen Khanna will show four sculptures from his Bandwallah series, centred on the figure of the travelling musician. Himmat Shah will exhibit four stone works that continue his long engagement with the sculpted head and its variations. Thota Vaikuntam will present bronzes from The Sacred Gaze, reflecting his interest in rural iconography and regional visual language.

The exhibition also acknowledges the contribution of the late Prof. M.G.K. Menon, an IIC member associated with earlier sculptural initiatives at the Gandhi King Plaza.

When: December 11–22; 11 AM–7 PM
