Leaked details point to a 6.3-inch OLED display, Tensor G4 processor, and a sizeable battery for Google’s upcoming Pixel 10a

Google Pixel 10a

Google unveiled the Pixel 10 series last year, and early rumours suggested that the Pixel 10a would arrive before the end of 2025. While that timeline didn’t materialise, a series of leaks have now shed light on what we can expect from Google’s upcoming budget-friendly Pixel.

Design

Leaked CAD renders indicate that the Pixel 10a will retain a design similar to its predecessor. The device is expected to feature a flat plastic back panel, along with a small, pill-shaped camera module that will likely house a dual-camera setup.

The Pixel 10a may also continue the trend of thick display bezels. Historically, Google has used chunkier bezels on its Pixel A-series devices to clearly differentiate them from its premium Pixel lineup.

Display

As with last year’s model, the Pixel 10a is rumoured to sport a 6.3-inch OLED display. The panel is said to use LTPS technology once again, meaning it won’t support variable refresh rates down to 1Hz.

Specifications

Google typically equips its Pixel A-series phones with its latest Tensor chipset, but this year may be an exception. According to a report from Android Headlines, the Pixel 10a is expected to run on the Tensor G4 processor, which debuted with the Pixel 9 series, rather than the newer Tensor G5.

One possible reason for this decision could be cost. The Tensor G5, reportedly manufactured by TSMC, may be more expensive to produce. That said, the Tensor G4 on the Pixel 10a is rumoured to receive a modest performance boost. Due to ongoing supply constraints, the device is expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It may also pack a 5,199mAh battery, with charging speeds similar to last year’s model.

Pixel 10a launch date and price

According to well-known tipster @MysteryLupin on X, the Pixel 10a could launch on February 17. The base model with 128GB storage is expected to be priced at around Rs 52,000, while the 256GB variant may cost approximately Rs 63,000.

As with all leaks and rumours, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, as details could change ahead of the official announcement.
