Delhi woke up to generally cloudy skies on Friday, with the minimum temperature settling at 28.4 degrees Celsius, 1.9 degrees above normal.
Station-wise data showed that Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 25.6 degrees Celsius, 0.7 degrees below normal, while Lodhi Road recorded 27.8 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees above normal.
The minimum temperature at Ridge was 25.2 degrees Celsius, 0.1 degrees above normal, while Ayanagar recorded 27.3 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees above normal.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 35 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity was 60 per cent in the morning.
Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) stood at 120 at 9 am, placing it in the “moderate” category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
According to the CPCB’s AQI scale, a reading between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor” and 401-500 “severe”.
