Seven Navratri thalis to try in Delhi-NCR

From kuttu ki poori and sabudana to paneer and festive desserts, these restaurants have put together special menus for the fasting season

For those observing Navratri, fasting does not have to mean compromising on a satisfying meal. With Sharad Navratri beginning on October 11, restaurants across Delhi-NCR are offering special thalis featuring vrat-friendly ingredients and familiar festive flavours.

From kuttu ki poori and samak rice to sabudana, makhana, paneer and festive desserts, the offerings range from affordable spreads to more elaborate hotel dining experiences.

Here are seven Delhi-NCR places to consider for a Navratri thali this festive season.

Temple Street | Ashok Nagar and Old Rajinder Nagar

Temple Street is offering two Navratri thalis, with preparations made using sendha namak. The Navratri Special Thali, priced at Rs 399 plus GST, includes four pooris, sabudana khichdi, aloo ki sabzi, pethe ki sabzi, shahi paneer, raita, sponge rasgulla, salad and papad.

The Mini Navratri Thali, priced at Rs 299 plus GST, comes with two pooris, sabudana khichdi, aloo ki sabzi, pethe ki sabzi, raita, sponge rasgulla, salad and papad. Vrat-friendly chaat options include aloo chaat, sabudana tikki and kele ki papdi chaat.

SOCIAL | Delhi-NCR

SOCIAL is bringing its Navratri Thali to outlets across Delhi-NCR from October 11 to 20. The spread includes aloo jeera, paneer in tomato gravy, makhana, samak rice, falahari pooris, sabudana kheer, sabudana vada and papad.

The limited-period menu also features individual vrat-friendly dishes such as Navratri Khichdi, sabudana vada and kuttu paneer pakoda. The menu is available for dine-in, with selected dishes also available through Zomato and Swiggy.

Rockland Hotel | Chittaranjan Park

Rockland Hotel has two Navratra thalis, available from October 11 to 19. The Deluxe Navratra Thali includes aloo ki sabzi, kaddu ki sabzi, kuttu ki poori, samak rice, sabudana papad and sabudana kheer.

The Maharaja Navratra Thali adds paneer ki sabzi, fresh fruit salad and sabudana pakode. Both are available for dine-in, room service, home delivery and catering, subject to availability.

DEL & Kheer | Roseate House New Delhi

DEL & Kheer at Roseate House New Delhi is offering a Navratri Special Thali from October 11 to 20. The spread includes paneer khajoor roll, aloo makhana kofta, chironji ki dal, singhare aloo ki poori and kesari sabudana kheer.

Before you order

Preparation can vary between restaurants, even when a thali is designed for fasting. Those observing a strict fast should check whether the meal uses sendha namak and fasting-approved flours and grains, and whether ingredients such as onion and garlic have been excluded.
