In south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area, a 20-year-old man named Faiz Ali was attacked by two individuals in a park, police said.
Ali sustained multiple stab wounds on his shoulders, back, and hand and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is now stable, they said, adding that the attack occurred on Sunday around 3 pm while Ali was seated with a woman in the park.
According to the police, the attackers, identified as the woman’s brother Kaifi Malik and his friend Harun, confronted Ali, questioning his presence with the woman.
The situation escalated when Malik attempted to snatch Ali’s phone. When Ali resisted, both attackers brandished a knife and stabbed him before fleeing the scene, they said.
An FIR under the IPC section for attempt to murder has been registered and further investigation is underway, police said. (With inputs from PTI)
