A 42-year-old man lost his life when his car plunged off an under-construction flyover in the Barapullah-Noida Link Road area of east Delhi. The victim, identified as Jagandeep Singh, a resident of Krishna Nagar in Delhi, fell approximately 30 feet to the ground, resulting in fatal injuries.
According to the police, the incident took place on the evening of May 26 around 8.30 pm. Singh was returning home from work in Noida when he apparently became disoriented and mistakenly drove onto the under-construction flyover. Unfortunately, this confusion proved to be fatal.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the fire brigade, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, and the crime team of the Delhi Police swiftly arrived at the scene. They discovered Singh in the driver’s seat of the car, which had fallen from the under-construction flyover, said the police.
Police said paramedics rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital, but despite their best efforts, doctors pronounced him dead. Singh leaves behind his grieving wife and two children, who now face the devastating loss of their loved one.
The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for caution while navigating unfamiliar routes.
