Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Monday instructed government and private construction agencies to follow the guidelines to control dust pollution in the city during the winter season.
In furtherance of this initiative, he conducted a meeting with these construction agencies at the Delhi Secretariat.
He emphasised the importance of all construction-related organisations following a comprehensive set of 14 guidelines aimed at curbing dust pollution.
The minister also shared that the government is currently in the process of formulating a winter action plan to combat pollution.
In this endeavor, 28 different departments have been assigned specific responsibilities and are expected to submit their reports promptly.
Subsequently, the environment department will compile these reports into a comprehensive document for approval by the chief minister, followed by its implementation. (With inputs from PTI)
