Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 22.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, 0.9 notches below the season’s normal, as the national capital experienced mainly clear skies.
The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 33 degrees Celsius during the day, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The city’s air quality remained in the moderate category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 107 at 9 am, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
An AQI between 101 and 200 is classified as “moderate” under the CPCB’s air quality classification system.
The CPCB categorises an AQI of 0-50 as “good”, 51-100 as “satisfactory”, 101-200 as “moderate”, 201-300 as “poor”, 301-400 as “very poor” and 401-500 as “severe”.
The weather conditions are expected to remain largely stable through the day, with clear skies and a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees Celsius forecast for the city.
The national capital had recorded a minimum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the lowest minimum temperature in September since 2008, according to the IMD.
