A Delhi Police head constable rescued a 41-year-old man trapped in a house that caught fire here, an official said on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Outer North Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar on April 12.
The police officer said after receiving a PCR call, a team rushed to the spot.
“Head Constable Ankit found a man trapped on the first floor of the building as flames engulfed the premises,” said the police officer.
Ankit assessed the situation and, without waiting for additional support, entered the building and rescued the man identified as Tushar Anurag (41).
The officer said his timely intervention ensured the victim was brought out of the house safely.
Soon after, two fire tenders reached the spot and doused the blaze.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Police said action will be taken after receiving the detailed report.
