Delhi witnessed a warm Monday morning with the minimum temperature settling at 20.2 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a maximum temperature of around 41 degrees Celsius for the day, accompanied by a yellow alert for heatwave conditions.
Air quality remained a concern, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 230, categorising it as ‘poor’. An Air Quality Index between 201 and 300 falls under this category, indicating health impacts for sensitive groups.
On Sunday, the capital recorded a maximum of 38.2 degrees Celsius, 3.1 degrees above the seasonal norm, while the minimum dropped to 18.5 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees Celsius below average. Relative humidity fluctuated between 43 per cent and 27 per cent.
The IMD has forecast mainly clear skies for Monday, with continued heatwave conditions expected over the next two days.

According to the six-day forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the national capital will experience heatwave conditions with the maximum temperature ranging between 39 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius.
