Lt Governor VK Saxena handed out appointment letters to 627 newly recruited employees of the Delhi government and DDA, including 27 doctors, during an event at Vigyan Bhawan on Friday.

Saxena said that the recruitment process was accelerated by the Delhi State Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (DSSSB), and an additional 20,000 government positions are expected to be filled by March 2025, addressing the significant vacancies across various Delhi government departments.

In another post on X, he highlighted that with over 17,000 permanent recruits by DSSSB in the last two years, this number surpasses the total appointments made in the previous decade.
