Delhi is set to experience a warm day on Monday, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The city woke up to a partly cloudy sky in the morning, with the minimum temperature recorded at 15.2 degrees Celsius—1.2 degrees above the seasonal average. The weather is expected to remain warm throughout the day, with a gentle breeze providing some relief.
Wind speeds are forecasted to reach around 10 kmph in the afternoon but will gradually slow to below 8 kmph by evening and night. The relatively calm wind conditions may influence air quality later in the day.
As of 1 PM, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 194, placing it in the ‘moderate’ category, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). This means that while air quality is not hazardous, people with respiratory sensitivities should take precautions.

The CPCB classifies AQI levels as follows: 0-50 is considered ‘good,’ 51-100 ‘satisfactory,’ 101-200 ‘moderate,’ 201-300 ‘poor,’ 301-400 ‘very poor,’ and 401-500 ‘severe.’ Given the current conditions, residents can expect relatively stable air quality, though it may fluctuate depending on local pollution sources.
Delhiites are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against the rising temperatures as the city transitions towards warmer weather.
