The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced an extension of its last train timings across all lines in light of the upcoming IPL matches in the city, an official statement said.
In correspondence with X, the DMRC conveyed that in anticipation of IPL matches scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, and 14 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Delhi Metro will prolong its last train timings on all lines to facilitate smooth transportation for spectators.
Furthermore, the Delhi Police has issued an advisory regarding the match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans, set to take place on Wednesday from 7 pm to 11:30 pm.
The police have outlined diversion and restriction measures on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (BSZ Marg) and JLN Marg. Commuters are urged to avoid BSZ Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO Chowk, and JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate on Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm.
To accommodate spectators, shuttle facilities will be operational at ITO Metro Station and Pragati Maidan Metro Station. Additionally, park and ride services are available at Mata Sundari Marg parking for gates 1 to 8 and 16 to 18, as well as Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road for gates 9 to 15, police said.
Individuals can park their vehicles at these locations and utilize shuttle services to reach the stadium, the police said.
The general public and motorists are advised to maintain patience, adhere to traffic regulations and road etiquette, and comply with the instructions provided by traffic personnel stationed at intersections.
