Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 1.5 degrees below the season’s average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather office also predicted strong surface winds during the day. The relative humidity was recorded at 76 per cent at 8:30 AM.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, with strong surface winds likely throughout the day, the IMD said.
The city’s air quality was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) standing at 151 at 9 AM.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good,’ 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory,’ 101 to 200 ‘moderate,’ 201 to 300 ‘poor,’ 301 to 400 ‘very poor,’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe.’

On Wednesday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees above normal, the weather office said. The city’s air quality also remained in the ‘moderate’ category that day, with an AQI reading of 160, as reported by the CPCB.
