The Vigilance Complaint Information Management System (VCIMS), introduced by Lt Governor V K Saxena in 2023, has received over 550 complaints to date, primarily concerning the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Delhi Police, officials reported on Thursday.
Since its debut in September 2023, the portal has accumulated 561 complaints targeting various Delhi government departments. The MCD had the most complaints (105), followed by Delhi Police (71), Delhi Jal Board (44), and Delhi Transport Corporation (39), among others, officials noted.
During a recent assessment of the portal’s complaints, instructions were given to ensure swift, time-bound resolution of cases related to misconduct and corruption, a senior government official said.

Of the 561 complaints, about half have been resolved for different reasons, while the rest are at various stages of processing, the official mentioned.
The platform allows citizens to submit complaints online, promoting prompt and transparent actions with confidentiality in addressing and tracking corruption-related grievances, officials explained.
The system streamlines the process of reporting corruption by government employees while safeguarding the anonymity of the complainants. To avoid non-serious complaints, users must submit an e-undertaking, officials stated.
Registration is required for accessing the portal, which can be completed using a mobile number along with Aadhaar, PAN, or Election ID details. Complainants receive updates on their complaints through SMS on their registered mobile numbers, the officials added. (With inputs from PTI)
