The suspect, identified as Adnan (23), allegedly established connections with fellow criminals during his incarceration in a robbery case, becoming enticed by their opulent lifestyle.
“We received intelligence on April 2 regarding a potential illegal firearms supplier in the northeast area. Acting swiftly, a specialized team was assembled. They set up surveillance near Kheton Wala Mandir,” stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey.
Tirkey elaborated that the team apprehended an individual, later identified as Adnan, who was carrying a bag. Upon search, eight semi-automatic pistols and 80 live cartridges were confiscated.
