The total number of active cases across the country stands at 1,009, shows the country's central COVID-19 dashboard

Delhi has recorded a total of 104 active COVID-19 cases, according to official data.

Health officials said that 24 patients have recovered in the past week.

Last week, the total number of active cases stood at 99, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s COVID-19 dashboard.

A senior Delhi government health official confirmed the figures, adding that while the situation remains under control, authorities are closely monitoring any potential surge.

Officials also stated that Delhi has not reported any Covid-related fatalities in recent weeks.

According to the central COVID-19 dashboard, there are 1,009 active cases across the country, including those in Kerala with 430 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 209 cases, and Delhi with 104. The cases in Delhi and other parts of the country come after a spike in coronavirus disease cases was reported in Asian countries.

On Friday last, the Delhi government issued an advisory instructing hospitals to ensure preparedness. This includes maintaining the availability of beds, oxygen supplies, essential drugs, and functional equipment such as ventilators and BiPAP machines.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said there is no need to panic over the COVID-19 cases, while asserting that the hospitals are fully prepared to manage any potential increase in infections.

“We have analysed the scenario and there is no panic situation,” she added.
