Delhi Traffic Police issued a notification ahead of the India versus Afghanistan World Cup Cricket match on October 11, advising commuters to avoid specific routes around the Arun Jaitley stadium.
The match, scheduled for 2 pm today, led to diversions and restrictions on roads such as Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg.
The advisory stated that heavy vehicles and buses were prohibited on roads from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road.
Roads including Rajghat to JLN Marg, JLN Marg from Kamla Market roundabout to Rajghat, Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate, and Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate were advised to be avoided.
Limited parking was available for labeled vehicles near the stadium, with mandatory display of parking labels on windshields, including vehicle numbers.

Vehicles lacking valid parking labels were not permitted near the stadium. Car parking label holders were recommended to take specific routes, and parking was strictly prohibited on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg, and Ring Road from Rajghat to IP Flyover, with violators facing towing and legal action.
Spectators were offered a park and ride service, with designated parking areas like Mata Sundari parking, Shanti Van parking, and Veldrome Road parking.
Additionally, application-based taxis and other cabs were instructed to use the service lane on Ring Road between IP Flyover and Rajghat crossing for drop-offs and pickups.
