Delhiites on Monday woke up to the chilliest morning of the season as the minimum temperature dropped to 6.5 degrees Celsius, marking a departure of three notches below the seasonal average.
Over the past few days, the national capital has witnessed temperatures lower than usual. On Saturday, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 8.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 8.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
At 8:30 am, the relative humidity reached 100 percent.
The weather forecast for the day anticipates a clear sky, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 23 degrees Celsius.
Looking ahead to the period from December 12 to December 17, the forecast indicates that minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 6 and 7 degrees Celsius.
At 10:05 am, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) registered at 318. The AQI scale categorizes readings from 0 to 50 as “good,” 51 to 100 as “satisfactory,” 101 to 200 as “moderate,” 201 to 300 as “poor,” 301 to 400 as “very poor,” 401 to 450 as “severe,” and readings above 450 as “severe-plus.”
