Delhi’s maximum temperature at 23 degrees Celsius, air quality ‘moderate’

Chilly weather persisted over Delhi on Wednesday with the city recording a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius, four notches below the usual.

The capital had a similar minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 9.5 degrees Celsius on Monday.

“In the first week of March, the minimum temperature has consistently settled at 9 degrees Celsius for the past three days,” noted the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The city is expected to see a mostly cloudy sky during the day, with the maximum temperature likely to dip to around 23 degrees Celsius, as per the IMD.

On Tuesday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was at 72 per cent at 9 am, according to the IMD’s data.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) remained in the “moderate” category with a reading of 120 at 9 am. (With inputs from PTI)
