Mann’s presidential bid
Speaking at the press briefing, presidential candidate Aryan Mann said his journey in student politics began on the very first day of his university life.
“From opposing fee hikes to working for better basic facilities, I have consistently raised student issues. As a DUSU presidential candidate, I will take forward the real concerns of students during my campaign. The support I have received so far has been very encouraging,” he said.
Hostel and exam reforms
Vice-presidential candidate Govind Tanwar expressed gratitude to ABVP for nominating him. He said the organisation had always stood at the forefront of addressing student concerns and added that, if elected, he would focus on hostel construction and the introduction of supplementary exams for final-year students.
Call for systemic changes
Secretary candidate Kunal Chaudhary highlighted the need for reforms in the university.
“Delhi University admission was like a dream for me. From the very first day, ABVP welcomed me. But challenges remain—such as a uniform fee structure, shortage of sports equipment, provision of hygienic and nutritious food in canteens, and the need for a student committee to regulate accommodation and rent for outstation students,” he said.

Women’s representation and safety
Joint secretary candidate Deepika Jha underlined her focus on women’s representation and campus safety.
“ABVP has always ensured that women get a platform in student leadership. I will push for NCC facilities in all colleges, installation of sanitary pad vending machines, and a safer environment on campus so that every girl feels empowered,” she said.
ABVP’s outlook
ABVP Delhi state secretary Sarthak Sharma said the organisation would soon release its manifesto after incorporating student feedback.
“We are confident that students of Delhi University will give us their support and ensure victory for ABVP on all four seats,” he said.
